Sidhu rejects Rs 7 crore offer to be a Bigg Boss 5 contestant



Former Indian cricketer and Amritsar MP Navjot Singh Sidhu has rejected the Rs 7 crore offer to participate in Bigg Boss season 5.

According to a report in Daily Bhaskar, Sidhu has rejected the lucrative offer on the advice of BJP national president Nitin Gadkari and senior party leader Arun Jaitley.

Sidhu said that for him the duties of the party comes first and that he cannot ignore the advice of the senior leaders of his party. hence he decided to refuse to participate in the reality TV show.

Earlier, India’s cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu had said that participating in any television show was his profession while politics was like a mission.

Few days ago, it was reported in the media that former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes and India’s cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu might come on board as special guests and wild card entry in the television reality show Bigg Boss 5, which began on Sunday, October 2.

Media reports had earlier claimed that both Sidhu and Rhodes will be among the 13 contestants in the show, along with the 19-year-old Mumbai model Poonam Pandey, who is known for posting semi-nude pics on her Twitter account supporting the Indian cricket team.
